Lighting the Path to a Brighter Future.

The Need for Sustainable Power

As a small island nation, Ireland’s energy security is a critical concern.

Solar power can be generated locally, reducing the country’s dependence on energy imports. Increasing our energy independence is crucial for ensuring a stable and reliable energy supply in the face of global uncertainties. By including solar power into our energy mix, Ireland can significantly reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to global efforts to combat climate change.

Understanding Solar Energy

Solar energy is simply radiant light from the sun. It is inexhaustible and is harnessed using photovoltaic solar cells which convert sunlight directly into an electric current. It is a proven technology that offers many benefits. Renewable, non-polluting and available planet-wide, it contributes to sustainable development and job creation where it is installed.

The Project

At Castlebank Green Energy, we believe we can play a pivotal role in advancing Ireland’s ambitious renewable energy objectives by harnessing the potential of solar energy to reduce carbon emissions and diversify Ireland’s energy mix.

Why?

To limit the worst impacts of the climate crisis, we need to drastically change the way we produce energy around the world. Solar energy is a better choice for our planet because it doesn’t burn fossil fuels that release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

When?

Castlebank Green Energy has submitted a planning application to Clare County Council for the proposed project.

Where?

The proposed development is located in Castlebank, Ardnacrusha, Co. Clare.
